Freezin' for a Reason!

Ever imagine what the Delaware River feels like in January? Well, we don't have to wonder anymore - it's COLD! The rescue personnel was actually breaking the ice up on the beach so we could do our Polar Beach Plunge, at Neshaminy State Park - on January 29th, 2011. It was crazy there. We could NOT believe how many people were there and some of the costumes were CRAZY. Made us look VERY sane - imagine that. The whole event raised money for the special olympics, and that is why it's called "freezin' for a reason"... Hope you are all staying warm and we are going to try to form a team next year - want to join us to raise money for a GREAT cause?

Snowtube time!

This year we decided it was time for snowtubes... and they are GREAT! Who needs to go to a tube run at a ski resort when we have a HUGE hill in our backyard? The girls hopped on them and flew down the hill. We actually had to put out a tarp so that they would slow down before hitting the fence - and it worked like a charm! They had soooo much fun... enjoy the pics!

snow storm # who knows??

Well, this year the girls have had a good deal of playtime in the snow! They've had sooooo much fun - and looks like we have at least a few more months of this weather - not sure if that is good or bad yet! Enjoy the pics!

Snowday #1

The girls were super excited that it was going to snow again... for the third time in one week! This time the timing was "right", it snowed all night, didn't finish until the early morning hours, and today was their first "snowday" of the year. So, they have enjoyed sitting around in their PJ's playing games and relaxing. It was a bit less than relaxing for mommy and daddy since we had to clear the driveway. But it's truely beautiful out there... love the snow and the peacefullness that comes with it!!! Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Our Karate Kids

Thank you VERY much to Grandmom Reedell for karate lessons for the girls. They had taken a few "demo classes" and did a GREAT job each time. So, for christmas they got their uniforms and then they had their first "lesson" on monday evening. They learned all kinds of new moves and can't wait to go back to perfect them and learn some more!!
