And the Triathlon Season is now officially over for us...

We participated in the 3rd annual Marshman Triathlon, held at Marsh Creek State Park.  This race was quite short, and is very technical at times.  The swim is only 1/4 mile, but the "seagrass" made it a HUGE challenge.  The bike ride is also quite short, at just about 12 miles, but the hills and technical turns make it all the tougher.  And then the run... yes, well, it's only 2 miles... but the first mile is straight uphill on some trails and the second mile is down to the finish line.  Both Scott and I got our personal bests in this race and I happily stood on the podium in 3rd place in the Athena division.  Funny thing is that last year I won 1st place and my time was 2 minutes faster this year... yeah, the competition definately was tougher this year.

We had quite a year... did a few new races and look forward to some more adventures next season.

Heidi's Wedding

First of all, congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Kollar!! We witnessed maybe one of the most beautiful weddings ever. It was held on Cream Ridge (Heidi's family's organic farm) in NJ and they were very luck to have one of the most beautiful days for a wedding. Heidi looked stunning and she and Bryant make such a GREAT pair. We had a great time catching up with my GEA (Gordon Eadie Associates) crowd after MANY years. And the girls enjoyed the "kids tent" of crafts and take home goodies, as well as dancing to the live band. Thanks again for letting us share in your special day Bryant and Heidi!!

Out for the evening... just the two of us!

This was the BEGINNING of a VERY busy weekend.  We headed out to one of Scott's co-worker's wedding on friday evening.  We made the treck to Drexel Hill, and it was at a beautiful golf course.  And it was maybe the most beautiful day of the year.

The wedding was fabulous and we had a GREAT time...

And this was how the rest of the weekend was laid out... I taught spin class at 8am on saturday morning, cosmic bowling b-day party at noon, then my friend Heidi's wedding in NJ at 4pm.  And it doesn't stop there.  We then drove home to my parents' house to stay overnight, since we had the Marshman Triathlon early on sunday morning... yes, we had a VERY busy weekend!!

Cosmic Bowling

We celebrated Mackenzie's 6th birthday with some cosmic bowling.  The fun started when the lights went off and then everything glowed.  The kiddos LOVED bowling in the "dark" with the flashing lights and then dancing to all kinds of fun songs...  Then off we went to the party room for a yummy cake that Megan made, and then we finished up in the arcade.  It was a GREAT party, and we hope that Mackenzie had a GREAT birthday!!

Furry Cuteness

Every once in a while Jake and Oscar sleep in such a cute way, I can't help but to take a bunch of pictures of their furry cuteness.  Well, with the MUCH cooler weather, they have been enjoyed the nice breezes and warm sunshine in our sunroom.  I just thought they were too cute not to share!!  Enjoy!

Celebrating Grandparents day with a day of fun in Philadelphia

Yes, we know grandparents day is sort of a "hallmark holiday"... but none the less, it's another GREAT time to celebrate having SUCH fantastic grandperants.   We had planned a trip to Sesame Place with mom-mom, pop-pop, and grandmom.  Unfortuantely the weather did NOT cooperate, and we went with "plan B"... which was going to the Please Touch Museum.  Everyone was amazed by how beautiful the new location was and how much "stuff" they had inside.  The grandparents and kids alike (sometimes it was hard to tell them apart, lol) had a GREAT time.
We are VERY fortunate to have such wonderful grandparents' in the girls lives... and we love them much!!!

Elyse's First Day of Preschool

It's been VERY difficult for Elyse for the past few weeks.  Each day she'd watch Angela go off to school and kept asking, "mommy, when do I start school?".  Well, finally on September 14th, it was "her day".  She walked into Scottsville Pre-school with a few of her friends and was BEYOND excited.  She LOVED every second of it.  This year she will be going only on tuesday and thursday... but she's now sooo happy that she's a big kid too since she's going to school.
Hard to believe my "baby" is now in school... they are REALLy growing up too quickly!!

time for Fall Soccer....

This evening Angela went to her first soccer practice.  We are TOTALLY new to the whole intermural sports scene... so this was an adventure... add me being alone with the two girls (Scott was on his way home from a week long business trip) and driving up and seeing ALOT of 4 and 5 year olds in one place.  Turned out there were over 80 participating in the LSAA Mico Soccer League this year.  Angela got her yellow shirt (team #6), her soccer socks, and shorts... and even a brand new soccer ball (which was a surprise).   She put her shirt and cleats on and she was ready to go.   She was EXTRA happy when she found one of her friends from her pre-k class (Ella) was on her team.  Then they went to work teaching the kids the "rules" of the game.  After a few drills, they played their first "game".  It was very cute... and we look forward to watching Angela understand more about the game each week and mastering the techniques.  Enjoy the pics!!

Our Karate Kids!

Today the girls enjoyed a demo class at the mixed martial arts studio with the Moms Club.  They spent some time doing exercises to strengthen the body, some blocks, and then got to "test" their blocking skills using the pads.  They LOVED the fact that they could hit the pads and yell at the same time and NOT get in trouble.  We'll definately keep this in mind for the future... they really enjoyed it!!!

1st Annual Bucks County Duathlon

We read about this race about 2 months ago in the newspaper and were beyond delighted that there would be another local multi-sport race to put into our yearly calendar! So, we signed up and boy were we glad we did! Turned out the weather was perfect, the set-up was spot on, and everyone did GREAT!! We are pleased to announce that Scott won 3rd place in his age group (which are usually the fastest people in the triathlons we do...), and I won 1st place in my group. We had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Angela's First Day of Kindergarten

Hard to believe that our "little Angela" went to her first day of kindergarten.  The BIG yellow school bus picked her up at 8:25 on wednesday morning (september 1st) and took her to Lower Southampton Elementary.  She was sooo excited about her first day and was even MORE excited to go back for her second day.  She really likes her teacher Miss Laughlin and has already made some friends.  We are proud of her doing soo well, and hope this continues for MANY years to come!!!
