Philadelphia Zoo

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the Philadelphia Zoo with friends. We all piled in my car and made the treck to Philadelphia. Amazingly there was NO traffic on the way there or home... so it made it even more fun!! The kiddos enjoyed many fun rides and the moms enjoyed a day out with friends... Thanks to everyone who attended!!!

And something else that was pretty interesting... exactly 3 years ago I was at the Philadelphia zoo with JUST Angela. I had just finished up working, and had about 1.5 weeks until Elyse was to be born... so we went to the zoo and enjoyed on of our "last mommy and Angela days"... Although that year it was HOT... I still remember how much fun we had together!! Wow... looks at us now!!

Spring at the Reedell house!

We've enjoyed a beautiful spring this year!! The weather has been "interesting"... from 80's and 90's in March to low 50's and raining in April.. but hey, that's spring in Pa... you NEVER know what you'll get. But with all of the rain we've gotten, everything is nice and lush... it's truely a backyard paradise for us to ALL enjoy!!

Just thought these pictures were funny... I got these glorified headbands to replace wearing hats while running, races, and teaching spin classes. I got some fun text on a few of them... enjoy!!

Hard to Believe....

That in EXACTLY one month Angela will be "graduating" from Pre-k!! She'll then officially be a kindergartener... oh my gosh. We were looking at their baby pictures last evening and it's hard to believe how far they've come. They are growing up sooo quickly... definately no longer babies here! Wow... how time flies....

A Day at the Farm...

Scottsville Preschool went on their annual spring trip to the Solley Brothers Farm. The kids enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL day of hayrides, planted a nectarine tree, learned about planting seeds and planted their own to bring home, bee hives, worms, bugs... and they did a taste testing of veggies. It was a fantastic time...

Spring has Sprung...

and our backyard looks like a wonderland of color!! Enjoy!

Finally....

Hard to believe it's been nearly 3 years since I've been in the workplace. At the end of January, I went to take my certification test to be an indoor cycling instructor. I passed the test, but that wasn't the hard part, that was getting into the LA Fitness Sports Club. Finally I went for my audition on April 12th, and was hired on the spot as a sub for right now. They don't have any openings at this time, but I will be given the opportunity when they arise. And today, thursday, April 15th, I tought my FIRST indoor cycling class! It was at 5:45am and went very well. I was surprised how much I enjoyed teaching, considering when I was doing my demo classes I was VERY nervous!! But I know I have 3 other classes to sub for in the next week or so, so here we go... and watch out LA Fitness... Megan is now in the house!!!

And the Season has now begun!!

Scott and I competed in the Doylestown Duathlon, on Saturday April 10th. This was our first try at this race, and only it's second year in existence. They did a GREAT job on everything. The race was a 5k run around lake Nockamixon, then what turned out to be a 21 mile bike (we were under the impression it was an 18 mile ride) on the HILLY roads around the park in the WIND (the gusts were in the 30 mph range), then another 5k run around the lake. It was a tough race, but both of us did VERY well. Scott placed very nicely in his age group - which is the fastest in the whole race. He just about met his goal for time at just over 2 hours. I finished at 2:33 and actually placed 2nd in the Athena division. So, great way to start the season!!!
