We'll be MIA for a few days....

So, we settle on both houses on thursday... so our computer will be all packed up either monday or tuesday... and will be unpacked at some point after we get "all settled". I will do my best to keep everyone updated on how things are going and how the girls are getting "acclimated"... so keep checking in on the blog... and we'll have some pics of the new house with our "stuff" in it soon....

BOOOO at the Philadelphia Zoo!!!

It's hard to believe we've been members of the philadelphia zoo for a few years, and this was our first trip to "boo at the zoo"... and now we know we should have gone WAAAAAYYYYY before this.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL here in PA... around 65 degrees and nice and sunny... so couldn't have been ANY better. And we were lucky enough to meet up with a few friends from college and their kiddos. Angela and Elyse had several friends their ages... and had a BLAST. Angela and Kate became "instant friends" and walked hand in hand all around the zoo. Elyse enjoyed sharing her snacks with her new friends Anna and Ryan too... and even shared her stroller with Anna at the end. All the kiddos donned their halloween best and trick or treated till their little bodies were all full of candy!!!
Also, a BRAND new attraction at the zoo is the endangered species carousel. It was handcarved in europe and sent here to raise awareness for the "endangered species". It may be the MOST beautiful carousel I have ever seen. Everyone was all smiles on their spin on the new ride. We also got to ride on the zoo train, and the horses. Even Elyse LOVED the horse ride...
And of course we couldn't make a trip to the zoo without the petting and kids zoo. Elyse LOVED petting the goats... and even enjoyed feeding one. We were surprised she didn't want to leave after one "very excited goat" actually put his hoof on her face to get her attention, since he saw the food in her hand... those are some smart goats we tell ya!!!

And the last two pics are on the ride home... they were asleep before we were more than 5 mintues out of the zoo....

There is NO party like a MOMS Club Halloween Party...

Tonight we enjoyed the "annual Bensalem MOMS Club Halloween Party"... and were NOT dissapointed!! Angela has been BEGGING to wear her costume all week... and Elyse, well, she didn't care as long as they had food there!!! But the girls got to dress up, go trick or treating, play some fun games, and of course play with all of their friends. Everyone had a blast...
And this will make you laugh a few weeks ago Angela was asked "what are you going to be for halloween?" She answered "a witch".... And then was asked "what is Elyse going to be?" She quickly answered something that sounded like "a french fry"... it was actually a "butterfly"... but in Angela-ese that's "exactly what she said".... ha-ha!!!!

It's almost halloween...

Just wanted to put a few pics together of the girls from today!! They were all dressed in their halloween shirts... and they just looked soooo cute!!! They are looking forward to our "annual MOMS Club Halloween Party" tonight... so be on the lookout for some pics in the next day or so!!!! Here are our hams!!!!

6 days and counting....

the boxes are rapidly piling up... in fact our garage no longer holds my car, but now a HUGE pile of boxes!!!! But in less than a week we'll be in our new house... so cross your fingers that all goes well!! Settlement for our current house will be at 10am, and the new house will be at 1:30pm... lots of stuff in one day!! But we are looking forward to all our "new space" and all the "fun stuff" that goes along with a larger house... and MUCH bigger yard!!!!

Last trip to Sesame for the season....

Although Sesame Place is open next weekend, we made our "final trip" there today. We've had a GREAT season playing with the Sesame Street characters and our friends. I think I figured it out that we have been there over 20 times since May... so we definately got out money's worth!! Today we went with Angela and Elyse's friends Ryan and Victoria... and enjoyed the "halloween spooktacular"... and they even went trick or treating... So, it was alot of fun, and believe it or not, but I took NO pictures... figured I've taken ENOUGH over this past year. But of course next year is a whole new season... and there will be MANY more pictures!!! Have a great winter Sesame Street!!!!

It's fire prevention week....

And Angela's school has been learning about what to do in the case of a fire, who to call, and so on. Today finished "fire week" by a trip to the firehouse. We all met up at the school, then walked across the road to the Cornwells Firehouse.
We were met by several volunteer firefighters who taught the kiddos even more fire safety information. They then got a nice tour of the firehouse, including their "bunk areas", and lounge. To our surprise they have "clifford" on their tv too!! Then we got to see all the things a firetruck carries, and of course how the siren and lights work too!!!
And to make it even more special, there was a Pierce Firetruck. Scott works with Pierce Firetrucks and they use his adhesive on their trucks. So, Angela got to see something that "daddy helped to make".

feels more like June than October in PA!!!

When you look outside it looks beyond beautiful! The temps hit at least 80 today... but it's October... how strange is that!! And becuase of the beautiful weather I decided we HAD to get out and go for a run... and I got my friend (Jen) and her daughter (bridget) to join us in a nice run, then the playground (on the way home), and then to our house for lunch!! It was just a great time, then it even got better. We ran into another friend (Toni) and her two kiddos (Ryan and Victoria) and they all had a blast together at the playground!!! It was the PERFECT day to enjoy the beautiful warm weather... as it's supposed to get much cooler by weeks end (highs of maybe 60 by sunday....)... Hope you are all having a great week... and are enjoying fall, whatever the weather is outside your door!!!!!

And finally she has a ponytail!!!

I have been WAITING for the day when I could put Elyse's hair in a "regular ponytail". I've already given her the "fountain look" (as grandpop Reedell calls it...), but her hair has FINALLY grown enough in the back for a more traditional look!! The biggest challenge is to keep her still long enough to put her hair into the ponytail. And with her curls in the back, it looks sooo cute!! Hope you enjoy the pics of Miss Elyse!!!

boxes boxes EVERYWHERE....

We are officially in packing mode in the Reedell household!! We are VERY excited, but what a HUGE difference between 1 month ago and today... it doesn't really resemble our house much at all!!! The girls have been WONDERFUL about putting their toys away... and we keep telling them, it will ALL be worth it once they have a MUCH larger house and a WHOLE playroom (in the basement) for them!!! But here are some pics of the piles of boxes, and we've got 17 days to go... stay tuned...

6 years of wedded bliss!!!

It's hard to believe that 6 years ago today we were newlyweds!! Wow, does time fly. I remember the day being sort of dreary, but I didn't care, I was getting married! And then we will NEVER forget the honeymoon to Hawaii. It was memorable for MANY reasons... but of course me losing my rings was a big one!! But that was our "first test"... and Scott passed with flying colors!! And now looking back after adding 2 cats and 2 kids to "the clan"... I wouldn't change a thing!!! Cheers for

many more WONDERFUL years that we have ahead of us!!!

(and I would have posted a picture of us together, but this is the only pic I have saved on this computer, since the rest are currently packed in boxes.....)

and here's a picture of us today... hard to believe that the years have passed sooo quickly!!!

Fall in Pa!!!

I must say that fall is my favorite season of the year here in PA!! I love the crispness of the air, but the sun is still plenty warm... so we aren't stuck inside all day as of yet!!! We've had the opportunity to do some hayrides, pick apples, and pumpkins!! Too bad that fall has to end (at some point)... but it will be back here before we know it!!!

bring on the rainshowers...

What else can you say but.... awww... look how cute they are!!!

race pics from this season....

so, since it's been a long time since I've posted pictures, I figured I'd post some fun pics from our races in the last few months!!! And I must say it's a HUGE accomplishement being handed two kids to run across the finish line with them... it makes all the hard work worth it!!! Hope you enjoy!!!!

Pics are from the Brigentine Triathlon (august of 2008)

and these are of the marsh man triathlon, which took place in September of this year!!!

off to mom-mom and pop-pop's house we go...

so while mommy and daddy were soaking up the rays (ok, more mommy than daddy...) in florida, Angela and Elyse enjoyed some mom-mom and pop-pop time!! They had a blast also with nana and Aunt Erin. Angela actually got to sleep over at auntie Erin's house... and had a GREAT time. They were soooo busy while visiting, and now are trying to "catch up" on their sleep now that they are home....

Miami Beach... what else is there to say??

After not going away as a couple for more than one night since June of 2005... this was a well deserved break from the kiddos!! We left on saturday and stayed on South Beach until wednesday. The perfect was beautiful... high 80's and sunny each day!! It was a GREAT break, knowing that when we returned to PA it was going to be packing craziness... so we enjoyed as much as possible... and now we are back... but with a tan!!!

Our new House!!!

So, we sold our house in September and were lucky enough to find our new house the next day!! We sold on a sunday and in less than a week we had the new house under contract... not too bad in a terrible real estate market!!! But we are excited, and our settlement date for BOTH housese is going to be October 30th... so this should be an adventure... we are just hoping that both girls transition well!! We'll keep you all posted!!!!

Yes, we are still alive....

I actually started this blog in August, but time has gotten away from us... and now I'll do my best to post weekly if not more!!! Things have been crazy but I'll be updating more... I promise!!!
