We had sooo much fun at our condo in Brigantine. We were fortunate enough that my parents' made the treck down to the shore to spend 2 days with us. My mom was feeling "ok" and was beyond excited to see the girls boogie boarding, swimming, building castles, and just having fun. It was great for everyone. We also went to the Pier at Ceasars to go shopping. see the water show and of course stop at "It's Sugar"... a candy shop. A trip to Ocean City is a must for some ride, pizza, and french fries on the board walk. We then walked around the outlets in AC and took in the sights. The girls enjoyed going to the AC aquarium and then climbing the Absecon light house to get a great view of the area. We also had fun shopping in the rain at Smithville with Aunt Gerry. We had a blast, will miss the beach, but look forward to geting back to "reality"...

time to hit the road
Each year we look forward to August and our trip to Brigantine. It always starts out with the Brigantine Triathlon and now we rent a condo for a week and stay on the island. This was the first year we didn't need any strollers or "little kid" things...
welcome to Brigantine Beach
triathlon time...
all done the race....
We always look foward to a fun time with Aunt Gerry!
We checked into our condo and the girls were immediately ready to hit the waves
the girls have enjoyed every square inch of the condo... like ice cream on the balcony
We woke up to a very rainy morning, so we headed over to the AC Aquarium, and the girls loved petting the sting rays, watching the huge turtle swim around the tank, and just seeing all the beautiful aquatic fun...
and no trip to AC is complete without hitting "it's sugar"...
and then a "healthy lunch" at Hooters (Angela is eating fried pickles)
and the best way to finish their day - in the jacuzzi tub!

NJ State Olympic Triathlon
For the past 4 years or so, the 3rd weekend in July it is always in the high 90's. This year the weather forcast was for a MUCH better race time. When we finished our race this year the temps were in the high 70's... perfect for a race. Both Scott and myself did fantastic, ran personal bests, and had a great time. I was even more proud to say that I beat my best time by over 24 minutes... and finished in just over 3 hours and placed 5th in my division. Great job to all of the NJ Tri athletes that put up fantastic times this year!

Happy 4th of July
We spent the 4th quietly at the Phoenix Swim Club with the Rapones. We had a blast grilling out, relaxing by the pool and then went back to our house for some smores and sparklers. Great small celebration with friends!
